You’ll be 35 next month..

THIRTY-FIVE

You started writing this blog at 27. Been writing poems, and short stories since you were 6

You fall in and out of love with writing sometimes, mostly because you don’t feel inspired and sometimes because you don’t feel like you’re good enough.

You operate as a career counselor and job placement “specialist” for a paycheck, but actually went to college for fashion. You paid all that money and later got a Masters in Public Administration because government and public policy interest you too.

But..

Your true calling is to work with empowering young girls

You love music. All music, and if you had to pick your favorite genre you’d pick Jazz.. ..

Because you like that instruments can speak so loudly….                                                                               

without using words…..

You’ve been single for a long time

And you’ve learned a lot about who you are through each passing season.

Summer is the easiest season because the sun always makes you happy.

Its Winter and it looks like those single days are coming to pass, but you just realized

The winter sun shines just as brightly…   

you just forgot to pay attention

You love kids, kids love you too… but you’ve always been on the fence about whether you want your own

You stress way too much, and can be overly sensitive.

 If you took a vacation from living inside your mind so much sometimes

You could probably get more accomplished…..

People love you, because you make them laugh,  do thoughtful things, and listen without judgment

  you feel at your best, when you are in service to others…

But you’ve paid a price for your being so accessible.  It has left you worn out and defeated sometimes…

You need to work on that. You have to set boundaries

Sometimes you talk yourself out of things, because you worry about other people’s perceptions

That is so strange…..

Because you pride yourself on being “different”

You dress nicely, and have mastered the art of thrift shopping…

 you don’t believe that beauty has to come with an expensive price tag ….

Its not what you wear, its how you  wear it...

You handle tragedy well. A lot of people don’t know who how rough 2013 was for you.. But you looked for the lesson in everything..Stayed in prayer and waited on God to come through like he does

Everything that happened, prepared you for something greater....

 If you had to describe yourself in two words you would say BRAVE

Because you have endured a lot, but you still aren’t afraid to try again…

And most importantly you aren't afraid to tell the world GOD is your source

and though you disappoint him often your primary goal is to be who he wants you to be..
